  • Position Description

    Works as a consulting team member or an individual technical consultant on product implementation, enhancement, integration or audit projects. Expertise and work efforts are focused on the analysis of the customer`s business goals, objectives, needs and the general business environment to solve technical problems. May have Business Development and budgetary responsibilities. Duties may be performed at customer`s site. Familiar with a variety of the field`s concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Reports to an executive or a manager.

    • As a certified green belt candidate shall direct daily operations of the David Grant Medical Center (DGMC)Process Improvement Program and assist commanders at all levels to carry out improvement efforts
    • Provide administrative oversite for all Medical Group CPI events including coordinating with higher CPI agencies, tracking progress in CPI-P and other administrative products
    • Provide technical direction in such areas as project management, team building, facilitation, process improvement, analysis, change management, and business process re-engineering.
    • Supports the Medical Group’s strategic plan identifying and prioritizing improvement activities that address key strategic goals, performance metrics and self-inspection findings
    • Coaches leaders to develop a greater understanding and application of Continuous Improvement tools. Provides training on Continuous Improvement tools to all associates. Proactively shares best practices across the organization through expanded staff and trusted care meetings. Acts as coach and mentor to develop a pipeline of future talent through the residency program.
    • Coordinates Green-Belt Academic training for DGMC and creates a sustainable process to produce a green belt certified workforce. Maintains supplies for dedicated CPI room. Coordinates with Phoenix Spark and other innovation related agencies for unique training/innovation opportunities.
    • Coaches team leads and assists them to remove challenges/ barriers to progressing through the 8-step process.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in health administration, health informatics systems or health care related specialty (e.g. nursing).
    • Must be Green Belt certified (Black Belt preferred)
    • Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience.
    • Proficient in computer skills (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
    • Must be able to lead or facilitate CPI project teams, Rapid Improvement Event (RIEs) teams, and workplace organization teams (6-S) as required.
