This position supports the Navy customer in shipboard work, through the adminisration of assigned subcontracts and changes, ensuring compliance with prime contract requirements. The position is in a fast-paced environment competing requirements for mostly commercial purchase orders for supplies and services that are valued around the simplified acquisiton threshold. The position does require an understanding of FAR flowdowns, export compliance, and bid analysis, as the position does require a cradle to grave administration, and the individual will be requesting, analyzing, negotiating and awarding bids, resolving invoice issues, and monitoring supplier performance through performance, and closing the purchase order. Request amendments or modifications to subcontracts. as required. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Degree must be in Business Administration or related field. Additional training in contract law preferred.
