  • Position Description

    Duties and Responsibilities:          

     

    Senior marine electrical design engineer on Canadian and International Naval and Coast Guard vessel ship designs.  Employee will interpret customer requirements and desires, and incorporate into designs and specifications.  Will be responsible for design and recommendation of selection of equipment for shipboard electrical and auxiliary systems for new ship designs, including electrical propulsion configurations.

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience:

    Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related scientific discipline plus 5 to 10 years relevant work experience.  Master's degree preferred.  Degree(s) must be in engineering, computer science, mathematics or a related discipline.

    Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Marine Electrical Engineer with detailed knowledge of Coast Guard and/or Naval vessels and/or commercial vessels, including all Electrical systems.  Preference will be given knowledge of Canadian Coast Guard and Canadian Naval vessels.  Able to produce detailed design of shipboard electrical and auxiliary systems.

    May be required to obtain a secret security clearance.
