    Position Summary

    • Serco North America currently has a contingent job opportunity for a GCCS-M Family of Systems, including GCCS-M Increment II SME/Trainer



    • Conduct Post Installation Training (PIT) to Fleet units that receive GCCS-M software builds, including include the conduct of system operation, system administration, and database management training
    • Provide curriculum updates to training material, including PowerPoint Media, Student Guides, Lesson Plans, Instructor Guides, as well as reproduction of said training materials required to support the Advanced GCCS-M Fleet Technical Support Course
    • Supports/administers/troubleshoots Navy Command and Control Systems in a Technical Capacity including end-to-end C4I shipboard networks, sensors and interfaces
    • Develops, directs, plans and evaluates training programs or activities to meet external customer or internal employee learning objectives. Assignments may include training analysis, in accordance with Navy Education and Training Command (NETC) End-to-End processes, custom course development, development of criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of course objectives, and evaluation and learning assessments
    • Trainers may also administer training programs to meet student needs, which may require post-training follow up to determine applicability of course material or training approaches
    • Develops instructional materials for learners and facilitators
    • Prepares student materials such as course manuals, workbooks, and handouts
    • Utilizes enterprise-wide standard courseware development tools and applications to create blended learning solutions
    • Preparation and maintenance of the Naval Information Training Environment including preparation, loading, configuring, and troubleshooting (as necessary) the

    Training Lab environment for teaching each course of instruction

    • Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet outlined objectives
    • Recommends changes to team policies
    • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned


    Education and Experience


    • Bachelor’s degree and two to four (2 to 4) years or more of related experience; or Master’s Degree and one year of related experience. In some cases, education requirements may be adjusted or waived for comparable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience for positions involving new technology or labor market shortages as reflected by market survey data.
    • Must meet one or all of the following requirements:
      • Three (3) years of demonstrated experience conducting Operations, System Administration, and Database Management training in support of GCCS-M and GCCS-J on-board US Navy ships and Operational Command Centers
      • Three (3) years of demonstrated experience conducting Operations, System

    Administration, and Database Management training specific to GCCS-M FL, GL GCCS-M as well as demonstrated experience supporting/administering/troubleshooting Navy Command and Control Systems in a Technical Capacity to include end to end C4I shipboard networks, sensors and interfaces and one (1) year of demonstrated experience specific to GCCS-M Increment 2. Support shall include the researching and data-mining technical repositories (REMEDY Trouble Ticket Database) and thorough understanding of CASREPS.

    • Must possess at minimum a current IAT Level 2 certification: CCNA Security, CySA+,GICP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, etc.
    • The ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
    • A Navy Master Training Specialist (MTS) qualification highly preferred
    • An Active DoD Secret Clearance is required for employment.

    • Familiarity with curriculum development tools such as AIM and CPM/LOM
    • Strong attention to detail, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
    • Capability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated team player
    • Effective written/verbal communication and presentation skills
    • Proficiency with MS Office Suite software to create spreadsheets, prepare presentations, reports, and documents
