Please Note: The Operations Specialist has the ability to select their home facility/location to be based out of. Serco and the Aviation Operations Specialist will coordinate selection of the home facility based on geographic location, traffic, and complexity.
The Operations Specialist serves as a one-person “go-team” to fill in at towers that are critically staffed. The Operations Specialist travels to any one of Serco’s towers, many times on short notice, obtains a quick certification and then fills in as an Air Traffic Manager (ATM) or an Air Traffic Control Specialist (ATCS) as needed. Extensive travel is required. Must be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Must rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Needs to have the ability to lead and direct the work of others. Typically reports to an executive or a manager.
