    This position is on a brand new 5 year contract collaborating with experts in high performance computing development, architecture and administration to create a new cloud based tool for the customer.  We are looking for a Technical Writer who can demonstrate the following on their resume:

    • 4+ years of technical writing experience or relevant role experience implementing complex documentation practices within a software development environment
    • 2+ years of experience using Linux OS, understanding of terminology used in order to provide related documentation
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
    • Demonstrated experience using graphic authoring tools such as PowerPoint, Visio
    • Experience with authoring artifacts using JIRA Confluence and Gliffy
    • Have a background working within FOSS centric eco-system to include relevant product space knowledge involving stream/batch data processing and analytic frameworks
    • Have a fundamental understanding of Cloud and HPC architecture environments to include terminology, practices, and configurations used
    • Have an understanding of fast-paced software development lifecycle to include unit and integration testing, bug reporting and production software support leveraging a DevOps model
    • Understanding of AGILE software development methodologies and standard software development tool suites


    This task was created to satisfy a requirement for the HPC Metrics and Analytics capability, provide CASA and HPDA customer an end-to-end processing platform that allows end-users the ability to query, visualize, and analyze HPC metric/event data at various levels (system, application, dataflow, mission) based on a wide range of data sources, and formats from a centralized aggregation point in a scalable and secure multi-tenant manner. This capability must have the ability to support customer requirements for data access (programmatic and ad-hoc), visualization rendering, and analytic deployment in a consistent manner. As the technical writer for this task your duties would include the following:

    • Plan, develop, organize, write, and edit operational procedures, diagrams, and manuals using Atlassian product suite
    • Research, develop, and document technical design specifications for wide-range of supported FOSS software stack
    • Maintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation
    • Analyze documents to maintain continuity of content style/format


    For this position you must already have a TS/SCI with poly.


    Six (6) years experience as a TW in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor`s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.


    Four (4) years of additional TW experience may be substituted for a bachelor`s degree.
