  • Position Description

    Looking for energetic and capable individuals to join our team supporting the US Navy’s acquisition and construction of its DDG 51 Class program. Team members will contribute across each facet of a major shipbuilding program. Specifically, duties will include:

    • Under supervision examine budget estimates or proposals for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with established procedures, regulations, and organizational objectives. May employ cost-benefit analysis to review financial requests, assess program tradeoffs, and explore alternative funding methods. Examine past and current budgets and research economic and financial developments that affect the organization’s spending.
    • Under supervision, Develop guidelines and policies governing the formulation and maintenance of budgets. Conduct training sessions for Program personnel and supporting organizations regarding new budget procedures.
    • Under supervision, Develop and maintain Program Manager’s Estimate. Review Earned Value Management reports for accuracy and impact to budget estimates.
    • Prepares and provides formal briefings to the staff and project sponsors. Participates in financial discussions at project review sessions
    • Conduct risk assessments to the program. Identify and execute mitigation plans to reduce risks to the program.
    • Develops documentation, reports, and project plans and prepares and may present briefings and staff seminars.
    • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Requires a Bachelor`s degree and 2-5 years
    • Familiarity with DoD 5000 processes
    • Security Clearance of appropriate level required
    • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Business, financial or related field
    • Preferred 4 years’ experience in supporting EVM/ financial analysis.
    • Preferred DAWAII BFM Level II certification and experience in ERP system
