    Position Summary:


    The Environmental Laboratory Manager oversees the established laboratory on the program. Position is based in North Chelmsford, MA.



    • Supervising staff and for maintaining technical integrity and financial accountability in the performance of assigned tasks in accordance with customer requirements.
    • Interfacing with customers in all performance matters; planning and overseeing work in response to customer requests
    • Submitting all required status and financial reports
    • Resolving any technical, performance, management, and personnel issues


    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related field, and 8 or more years of experience as an analytical chemist or analytical laboratory manager or section supervisor, with extensive knowledge of analytical and data review procedures.
    • direct experience managing and supervising large projects of a similar nature, and knowledge of NELAC Institute standards.
    • Must be US Citizen; no sponsorship available.
    • Must be able to obtain a public trust certificate (security clearence) from the Federal Government.
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
    • Excellent verbal, oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
    • Ability to be flexible, multi-task, prioritize, and manage multiple activities simultaneously in a fast-paced, changing environment.
    • Strong team player with the ability to both collaborate and to take initiative and work well independently.
    • Superior attention to detail and the ability to meet stringent deadlines.
