    We're looking for a highly qualified Junior Software Engineer and Tester to join our Workplace and Facilities Management Solutions Practice.

     

    We have an exciting new program that needs your expertise. The NexGen IT program is in Montgomery, AL and is positively changing the way the Air Force manages its critical infrastructure.

    Qualification and Requirements:

    • Must have reliable transportation to the worksite in Montgomery, AL and willing to work as a team in the Serco facility
    • Requires a bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience working in a testing capacity
    • Be able to provide examples of software development projects you have worked on in a testing team
    • Ability to comprehend software modules with minimum design documentation
    • Description of experience with sprints/regressions using Agile Methodology and the tools Jira, Confluence, or Bitbucket
    • Experience working with unit testing frameworks
    • Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
    • Collaborate with QA Engineers to develop effective strategies and test plans
    • Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results
    • Evaluate product code according to specifications
    • Create logs to document testing phases and defects
    • Report bugs and errors to development teams
    • Conduct post-release/post-implementation testing
    • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
    • Designs quality assurance and test processes for portions of end user applications, system software, and firmware running on hardware, local, networked and Internet-based platforms.
    • Analyze design and determine test scripts, coding, automation, and integration activities required based on specific objectives and established project guidelines.
    • Execute and write portions of testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application; identify and debug issues with code and suggest changes or improvementsArea and willing to work as a team in the Serco facility
    • Requires a bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience working in a testing capacity
    • Active DoD Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain

    Preferred Skills/Knowledge/Experience

     

    • 1 to 3 years of Java knowledge
    • 1 to 3 years of Selenium knowledge
