The primary goal of the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) Ashore Sustainment Program is to provide both preventive and corrective maintenance services to Navy installations as required to sustain NAVFAC AT/FP Ashore Program Systems in accordance with their operational requirements. In support of this effort the Field Service Engineer (FSE) installs, troubleshoots, and maintains products/equipment including alarms, naval munitions, giant voice, cameras, intrusion detection, emergency operation centers, regional dispatch centers, gates, wide area alert, indoor voice, enterprise land mobile radio, dispatch activities, and support for regional and emergency operation centers as needed. In addition the FSE identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed. Will be relied upon to determine and recommend which products or services best fit the customers' needs. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. May train others as needed. This is a telecommute position, but you will be required to report onsite daily. Some travel may be required. Work is generally performed onsite where working conditions may vary. This position is based out of Kauai, Hawaii.
Requires a Bachelor's degree and 2 years experience OR Highschool Diploma with 4 years experience in the field.
Must have a DoD Secret level clearance. Position requires the ability to access confidential/classified areas. Work is generally performed at client site where working conditions may vary.
