Work is in support of the Autonomous Maritime System Test Center (AMSTC).
Responsible for the design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems.
Performs engineering design evaluations.
Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures.
Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Apply the theories and principles of science and mathematics to research and develop economical solutions to technical problems for acoustic sensors.
Design products, machinery, implement improved ways to extract, process, and use raw materials, such as petroleum and natural gas, develop new materials that both improve the performance of products and take advantage of advances in technology.
Analyze the impact of the products they develop or the systems they design on the environment and on the people using them.
In addition to design and development, work in testing, production, or maintenance by supervising production in labs determining the causes of breakdowns, and the testing of manufactured products to maintain quality.
Estimate the time and cost to complete projects.
Bachelor's degree in an Engineeering discipline
At least 1 year of experience supporting Acoustic Sensors
Secret Security Clearance eligible
Active Secret Clearance preferred
