Position Description

Provides direct support to the Landing Craft Technical Support Lead, and in addition liaisons between Governmental entities.  Assists in the management and leadership of support team personnel, supports business plan development and execution, and schedule development.  Additional responsibilities include:

 

·        Provides technical support to NAVSEA (PMS3774) Program Office Technical Division, Air Cushion Vehicles (ACV) Team.

·        Assists the ACV Technical Lead in the organize and management of large projects that involve multiple personnel from Serco's 4-Div ACV technical team to ensure a quality product is delivered on time.

·        Assists the ACV Technical Lead in the coordination of cross-divisional work items and projects and work closely with Serco J-Div and K-Div counterparts to deliver technical products, schedules, and future planning.

·        Provides assessment, analysis, and recommend solutions for new, modified/enhanced capability systems onboard LCAC and SSC craft.

·        Provides assessment, analysis, and recommendations for various test events.

·        Validates proposed LCAC SLEP, E-SLEP, and SSC work packages, ECPs, craft construction drawings and CDRL submittals.

·        Produces technical white papers, briefs, and other deliverables as requested by the PMS3774 client.

·        Identifies potential cost impacts/savings for various technical proposals and their impact to the end user upon introduction to the fleet.

·        Subject Matter Expert in the SSC, LCAC, hull, mechanical and electrical (HM&E) systems and provide technical recommendations.

·        Subject Matter Expert in the SSC, LCAC, Command, Control, Communications, Computers & Navigation (C4N) systems and provide technical recommendations.

 

 

Qualifications

 

Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline with 5-7 years of applicable experience. In many cases, while a degree is preferred, Former LCAC operator (ACU-4/ACU-5/NBU-7) with 9-11+ years experience along with combination of coursework and experience, is acceptable for consideration for a position.

DOD security clearance is required as a condition of employment.
