Position Description

Serco, Inc. is looking for a Quality Assurance Coordinator for the DOL VETS TAP Apprenticeship Pilot program.


The Apprenticeship Pilot Quality Assurance Coordinator will conduct frequent record audits and program utilization reviews to ensure processes and procedures are followed and applied and will institute on-the-spot corrections, conduct retraining, perform program support readiness, and monitor compliance related paperwork. 


This individual will be expected to support Apprenticeship Counselors (APCs) by mentoring and guiding them with employer engagements and outreach to State/Federal Apprenticeship Programs and may also assist the Apprenticeship Pilot Outreach Coordinator.


The ideal candidate will have demonstrated ability to counsel Transitioning Service Members and Spouses (TSM/S) to identify and evaluate various apprenticeship opportunities and links with companies offering apprenticeships, must be able to work well with TSM/Ss and staff, and  must be able to communicate orally and in writing.  



  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2 to 4 years as a Workforce Solutions or HR Specialist.
  • The ideal candidate needs to be knowledgeable of State/Federal apprenticeships and requirements for entry into those apprenticeships along with knowledge of the workplace, jobs, and requirement for entry into those jobs.  
  • Additionally, the ideal candidate needs to be proficient in MS Windows and Office, able to work well with TSM/S, able to communicate orally and in writing.
  • Willing to performs administrative functions for the office.
  • Individual must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the human services field, rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, able to work under general supervision or independently and typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
