Position Description

Evaluate and recommend available Database Management System (DBMS) products after matching user requirements with system capabilities. Develop and formulate standards, procedures, and conventions for database use. Lead technical/programming staff to ensure database security from accidental or intentional loss or damage. Manage and lead database administration operations across multiple product lifecycle environments, from development of mission-critical production systems through automation to achieve cost savings. Exercise overall responsibility for database upgrades and migrations from legacy versions to the latest version to utilize enhanced performance and security features and develop technical documentation. Produce data flow diagrams, technical requirements and practice, procedure, process documentation. Provide support for outbound call campaigns through design, implementation, and maintenance of database tables used with responses gathered via front end web-based applications. Determine file organization, indexing methods and security procedures for specific user applications. Perform database management and analysis, including daily data updates, review, and evaluation. Perform query and stored procedures revisions, performance tuning, data scrubbing, code modifications and constructions. Design, implement, and enhance operational database progress reports, including review/quality inspection of daily and adhoc reports. Telecommuting from home up to 2 days/week is permitted.



Requirements: Employer will accept Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in job offered or 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in a related occupation. Position requires: 1. Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration; 2. Database Backups & Restores; 3. Database Monitoring & Capacity Forecasting; 4. Database High-Availability using Always On; 5. SQL Server Installation, Upgrades, Patching & Migrations; 6. ETL tools utilizing SSIS and SSRS; 7. Database Design, Creation and Maintenance of Database Objects using T-SQL & PowerShell; 8. Database performance troubleshooting and SQL Query Optimization; 9. Database Security & Audit maintenance. Telecommuting from home up to 2 days/week is permitted.
