Benefits Analyst II reports directly to the Benefit Supervisor. May lead teams on various projects or tasks. Authorizes benefit payments. Handles the most complex or sensitive case processing or customer matters. Processes benefit applications, QDROs, POAS, etc. Processes and/or calculates participant over/underpayments and recoveries. Performs the intake processing and issuance of benefit determination letters. Supports the database building activities. May be required to travel for data collection trips. Conducts quality reviews to ensure work meets quality standards.
Education: Associate Degree (2) General Experience: Two (2) years of relevant work experience which can include, but not be limited to: employee benefit fieId, claims processing, billing, payroll, banking, human resources, customer service, representative, quality review analysts, etc. Three (3) years of progressive experience may be substituted fora degree.
