Position Description

Serco has an exciting opportunity that will allow the ideal candidate to provide support to the Navy ship program office Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Management team in developing and maintaining documentation and performing detailed analyses in a variety of ILS disciplines, for both new construction and in-service ships.


Tasking will include development and maintenance of Integrated Logistics Support documentation and detailed analyses in one or more of the following subject matter areas:

  • Acquisition Logistics Planning
  • Configuration and Data Management
  • Provisioning
  • Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) management
  • Fleet Introduction
  • Manpower Personnel and Training Systems
  • Technical Manual Development and Assessment
  • Reliability Maintainability Availability
  • Logistics Support Analysis and Level of Repair Analysis
  • Logistics Engineering
  • Integrated Logistics Assessment (ILA) (all ILS elements)
  • Though this work is normally in an office environment, work may occur within an industrial field office, outdoors and/or aboard ship while the ship is undergoing construction, alteration, activation, overhaul, repair and/or underway trials.
  • Walking and climbing throughout the ship, in order to accomplish ship checks, may be required.
  • Exposure to high noise levels, uncomfortable temperatures, heights or other industrial safety conditions will require use of personal protective clothing and equipment.


Education / Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline plus 5-7 years of directly related experience or a Master’s degree and 3 years of experience. In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 10 years of applicable work experience.
  • Active Secret Clearance and experience with US Navy or US Coast Guard ship construction programs is required.
  • Familiarity with Configuration Data Manager's Database-Open Architecture (CDMD-OA), Navy
  • Must be able to operate personal computers and have good knowledge and operational abilities with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook E-mail, Access and Project),
  • Maintenance Database (NMD), MERLIN or other Navy or Coast Guard ILS Databases is required.
  • Must be able to endure exposure to high noise levels, uncomfortable temperatures, heights or other industrial safety conditions.

Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills required.
