Position Description

In this role, you will:

  • Be required to Operate Special Purpose Equipment during extreme weather conditions.
  • Be required to Perform minor maintenance on equipment being operated.
  • Will be working on a 24/7 Shift pattern.
  • Be required to communicate using two-way radios in equipment for Airfield and Domestic operations.
  • Perform pre-trip Inspections and Identify repairs required.
  • Ensure all oils are checked and topped up before and at the end of each shift.
  • Data entry and Time Recording are to be completed electronically in programs such as TMA and Deltek.
  • May be required to work at remote sites for days at a time.
  • Keep equipment and workshop in a clean and safe condition.
  • Attend mandated training and courses.


To be successful in this roll, you will have:

  • A provincial Class 3 Driver’s License with 8 & 9 Endorsement.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain an Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance.
  • A Minimum of One Year’s operating experience for Heavy Equipment.
  • Possession of or the ability to obtain a Ramp Defensive Driving Course (RDDC) to operate vehicles & Equipment on the Airfield.

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening test. Must possess certificates in Powerline Hazard, Trenching and Excavation, Emergency First Aid.
