Integrated Logistics Support Supervisor



If you love high profile and challenging projects supporting the US Navy, Serco wants you to join the Maritime, Engineering, Technology, and Sustainment (METS) team. You will lead a team of Logisticians and provide support to clients by developing and maintaining by providing Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and technical services for a Navy Program Office.


Bring your expertise, innovation, and drive to directly impact improved military defense and continued safety of our warfighters. You will serve as the Senior Logistician on a NAVSEA Acquisition Program.


In this role, you will:


  • Serve as the primary logistics consultant in support of planning and advise Program leadership on emerging support trends and logistics deficiencies.
  • Oversee Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) and Combat Systems ILS requirements, support data and plans to ensure consistency with ILS best practices and overarching platform requirements. Prepare briefs, technical requirements, plans, policies, procedures, concepts, and schedules. Provide technical support and evaluation of proposed change requests.
  • Manage the ILS Checklists for the Program Office
  • Maintain a library of logistics documentation utilizing the Program approved IDE
  • Review, analyze, maintain, draft, validate and verify and recommend changes to technical documentation for new construction hulls.
  • Facilitate Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Integrated Logistics Support Management Teams (ILSMTs), advisory boards, conferences, Quarterly Ship Program Reviews (SPRs), off-sites, working groups, audit teams, etc.
  • Analyze the ship’s Planned Maintenance System (PMS) supply requirements to correct outfitting shortfalls and excess for PMS material items. Provide recommendations for approval of allowance change requests.
  • Assure quality standards are met and assure quality control throughout all contract activities.


To be successful in this role, you will have:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline, plus 10 to 12 years of directly related experience (preferably in a government contracting environment).
  • Navy ILS experience strongly desired.
  • Knowledge of government or other contracting environment relating to technical, scientific, and analytic services.
  • Ability to apply knowledge of the defense acquisition process to support customers in the analysis and improvement of acquisition process policy and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong Microsoft office skills in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • A security clearance of an appropriate level will be required after employment.

Additional desired experience and skills:


  • Provides Acquisition Logistics Support for the Program Office supporting shipbuilding program.
  • Provide support in performing program monitoring and control efforts.
  • Coordinates program event among multiple stakeholders.  Assists in the preparation of budgets and briefs for program support.
  • Conducts financial trend analysis, life cycle acquisition tracking, including data entry, file maintenance, and data retrieval and reporting functions.
  • Supports customers in the analysis and improvement of acquisition logistics process policy and procedures.
