Position Description

Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact on our military defense and our sailors.  Serco is seeking a Team Lead for technical support of the LHA(R) Class Program, in the Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR)/Combat System (CS) technical support.

 

This position is contingent upon you maintaining an active DoD SECRET level clearance.

 

Serco supports the US Navy as a prime contractor for acquisition and technical support to the Amphibious Warfare Program Office.  You will be part of a 10-12-member team of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) that work closely with the NAVSEA customer and other Serco technical support teams to deliver quality products in support of the LHA(R) Program.  SMEs provide systems engineering and technical expertise for C4ISR/CS shipboard system upgrades, integration, and configuration management.

 

In this role, you will supervise a team that:

  • Develops Preliminary Engineering Change Proposals (PECPs), Waterfront Change packages, work items, and administrative package changes.
  • Develops response rationale for Government Furnished Information Deficiencies (GFIDs), Condition Reports, and Trial Cards.
  • Interfaces with the NAVSEA customer and supports meetings.
  • Integrates system changes to Government Furnished Information (GFI) including cable block diagrams and cable running sheets.
  • Uses AutoCAD to develop/update LHA(R) design documentation.
  • Provides coordination/liaison with other Government agencies to address and resolve C4ISR/CS technical issues.
  • Participates in LHA(R) shipboard trial events.

Qualifications

To be successful in the role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline and/or and a minimum 5 years of direct experience.
  • An active SECRET security clearance is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of shipbuilding (acquisition, design, production, test and trials) is required.
  • Knowledge of US Navy CS, C4ISR, and Air Traffic Control (ATC) system functionalities and interfaces.
  • An understanding of various Navy contracts, and supporting organizational processes, roles, and responsibilities is highly desirable.
  • AutoCAD experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience with integrating system changes to technical documentation that includes cable block diagrams and cable running sheets is required.
