Electrical Designer –

 

If you love high profile and challenging shipbuilding projects supporting the US Military- Serco has a great opportunity for you!  The Ship Electrical Designer will support US Military shipbuilding efforts in Pascagoula MS.  Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact towards our military defense and safety of our sailors.

 

The successful candidate will be integrated into the shipbuilding team overseeing the construction of the newest US Military ships and provide technical leadership to the supply chain process and manage technical vendor furnished information.

 

In this role, you will:

• Lead and execute design effort for cable routing
• Lead and execute design effort for space allocations for electrical cable trays, nodal network configuration, electrical penetration and equipment
• Use software application such as Cloudis (CMPIC) to define global coordinates and integrate design into the model in Ship Constructor
• Coordinate activities as part of overall engineering effort in design and construction
• Other duties as assigned.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• An Associates degree in technical area or similar. Additional relevant experience can be considered to offset degree requirements
• A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
• Experience in military ship construction techniques and methods
• Expertise with MS Excel, PowerPoint and other office tools
• Knowledge of electrical design techniques.
