As the Systems Administer I, you will provide information technology (IT) service support at Naval Information Warfare Center Activity Pacific locations onboard Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. As the Systems Administer I, you will be responsible for the activities listed below:
- Provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
- Manage IT systems infrastructure and any processes relating to these systems.
- Provide support to IT systems, including: day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client related problems.
- Provide IT systems problem identification, diagnosis and resolution.
- The contractor shall administer IT infrastructure supporting intranet, Internet, e-mail, and application services.
- Install, configure, and provision workstations and virtual machines of multiple configurations.
- Troubleshoot failures and accessibility problems.
- Perform software upgrades and migration to new operating systems.
- Perform information system security functions, including managing system security plans.
- Draft standard operation procedures (SOP) to facilitate sustainment.
- Monitor system performance and track usage, develop and deliver a trend analysis of system load, usage and response.
- Perform low-level systems engineering and integration functions.
- Support configuration management (CM) planning efforts.
- Conduct IT training for personnel.
- Maintain a log of received and issued IT devices and maintain an accurate tracking of device
- custodians to include description, serial number and asset tag information for reporting, accounting and recordkeeping purposes.
- Inspect incoming IT devices, conduct visual condition inspection, document any damages to equipment and notify government lead.
- Retrieve and issue IT devices, provide equipment staging support.
- Deliver IT devices to department and division office spaces using work devices, such as vehicles, hand trucks, moving cards or dollies.
- Provide IT support with NMCI and RDT&E NIPRNET and SIPRNET systems
- Provide assistance for VTC support to include configuring, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, scheduling usage, coordinating with other VTC sites, and accrediting the VTC systems at SPAWAR SSC PAC, Pearl City, Hawaii.
- Maintain and configure the Tandberg Media Processing System (MPS).
- Research VTC systems for updates and upgrades.
- Maintain current version/release of authorized Tandberg/Polycom software, to ensure smooth operation of VTC systems.
- Provide VTC installation support by troubleshooting and performing system tests.
- Identify and resolve configuration problems with hardware and software components to ensure operational availability of VTC systems.
- Maintain current documentation of the VTC network and application software
