Position Description

Serco is seeking a dynamic Leader to support our NAVSEA Contract with their Surface Ship Modernization Program which leads and integrates all surface ship modernization policy, planning, and execution. Our team is responsible for the integration of surface ship modernization and manages modernization planning and execution. As the ship platform manager, this program oversees all facets of surface ship modernization advanced planning of surface ship availabilities, integration of new technologies, the overarching contract strategy, and planning yard functions.

 

You will be a part of a nice size team that works closely with our Customer and other Serco teams to deliver quality systems. Bernerd Zwahlen has led this team for more than 5 years; he possesses 20 years of experience supporting shipyard modernization; and is a Navy veteran. This team has been recognized by the Navy and the industry for their outstanding contributions to the contract and program.

 

In this position you will:

  • Deconstruct current processes and analyze their effectiveness based on metrics. Make recommendations for improvement, create and lead teams to implement improvements.
  • Collect of metrics and understanding how to use them.
  • Demonstrate superior writing and presentation skills to develop briefings, documents, and reports.
  • Demonstrate the initiative to self-start, when required, with little to no direction or guidance.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the lead Program Manager Representative.

Qualifications

The Sr. Program Analyst will:

  • Posess an Active and Current U.S. DoD Govt. issued Secret Security Clearance; at time of application.
  • Posess a Bachelor’s degree plus 8 - 10 years of directly relevant work experience.
  • Have general understanding of basic statistical analysis tools and techniques.
  • Be familiar with Navy ShipAlt and modernization process, SURFMEPP, CNRMC and waterfront operations.
    • General knowledge of how they interface with each other.
  • Posesses a high proficiency in Microsoft applications.
  • Posesses excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
