Position Description

If you love high profile and challenging projects supporting the US Navy - Serco has a great opportunity for you!  The Instructional Systems Designer will participate in the development, testing, maintenance and delivery of training and educational programs and related materials in support of complex products and/or procedures in sunny San Diego, CA. Bring your analysis expertise, instructional design and collaborative skills and make an impact towards our country’s military defense and the capabilities of our Sailors.

 

You will be part of a team that works closely with the customer and other Serco team members to deliver high technology Naval systems. You will provide technical support for our customer as part of a team on-site in San Diego, CA

 

The successful candidate will help deliver manpower and training support efforts for US Navy C5ISR-related programs and systems.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Conducts training sessions and assists in evaluating the effectiveness of training activities
  • Assists with updating course documentation on a continuous basis to ensure timeliness and relevance
  • May work with engineering, technical support and manufacturing to ensure that course material reflects current product features
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Works under limited supervision
  • This role can be located in the following location: San Diego, CA
  • Some travel to US Navy training locations within the United States.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or an Associate's Degree plus (4) years of specialized Navy Training assessment expertise; or six (6) years of specialized Navy Training assessment expertise and a U.S. Navy Master Training Specialist (MTS) qualification
  •  Active Secret clearance required
