Position Description

This position will serve as an advisor to government personnel to provide briefings and lead large meetings to support Department of Defense and Federal Agencies in evaluating Acquisition proposals and support peer level contract reviews.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide Acquisition pricing support and services
  • Provide full range of pricing support and services for high value, long term acquisitions, including:
    • Evaluating prime and sub-contractor cost proposals
    • Recommending prices for Procurement Contracting Office negotiations
  • Use independent judgment and discretion in selecting areas for review where precedent or historic data may not be available
    • Interpret data, study trends, forecast patterns
    • Project costs for long term contracts
  • Use economic, statistical, accounting, and financial analysis principles and techniques to evaluate contractor projections, etc.
  • Conduct price analysis for commercial items
  • Implement pricing regulatory and policy guidance
  • Act as a source of pricing expertise

Qualifications

  • Top /SCI clearance required
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 7 years of related pricing or cost work experience within the last 3 years
  • Experience with defense acquisition management processes as contained in the DoD 5000 series directives
  • Understanding of the OSD and USAF Acquisition organizations
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Top Secret/SCI clearance, CI scope polygraph
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Analysis/Operations Research or related field
  • Master's Degree in relevant field

WORK LOCATION: Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington DC 

 

TRAVEL: 10%
