Position Description

Serco has a rewarding opportunity for experienced professionals interested in supporting projects for a variety of DoD program offices.  

Candidates for this position must possess MBSE Strategy and Software knowledge and have experience implementing system architecture definition using UPDM and/or SysML in an MBSE tool such as MagicDraw (Cameo Enterprise Architect), Rhapsody, CORE, etc. This individual will lead working groups and develop architectures, roadmaps and supporting documentation and support multiple projects for a variety of DoD acquisition program offices. Recent experience with major acquisition or sustainment programs is also required to be successful in this role. 

 

The ideal applicant is also versatile, with a broad background and demonstrated ability to produce quality work. Must be comfortable in a challenging, collaborative, multi-tasking, dynamic, high-tempo, deadline-intensive environment with a flexible work schedule supporting multiple customers. Applicants must also have excellent listening as well as oral and written communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the ideal applicant will have:

  • Active DOD Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 5-10 years broad technical and managerial experience with DoD, including architecture development and analysis in support of Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS), AoA or Acquisition processes
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with DoDAF and MBSE modeling
  • Experience working with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) artifacts to include: operations views (OV), systems views (SV), capability views (CV), data views (DV) using systems modeling language (SysML)
  • Experience capturing stakeholder needs in models
  • Develop and extend system models using existing requirements, interface documentation, and related design and systems engineering documents
  • Provide MBSE/SysML expertise and related support to the entire systems engineering team
  • Integrate models to modern requirements management, architecture, and systems engineering software
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented responsible team player able to work independently with minimal daily direction; effective/efficient written/verbal communication skills
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
