Consider this exciting dual role as an Alternate Project Manager and Strategic Communications Strategist in a key personnel position as a Senior Communications Manager.  

 

The Senior Communications Manager has full authority to act for the contractor on all contract matters relating to daily operation of this contract and the project team in the absence of the Program Manager. The position will be located at the Pentagon and be available between the hours of 0700-1800 EST Monday through Friday except federal holidays or when the Pentagon is closed for local or national emergencies, administrative closings, or similar Government directed facility closings.

 

The Strategic Communications Strategist will integrate the planning and coordination of public affairs and communications programs across multiple media disciplines. The strategist will develop communications plan, execution and process requirements, and manage working groups, task forces, and other projects. 

 

Duties also include: 

  • Facilitate the integration and execution of communication efforts and activities across the HQDA staff in order to assist the OCPA in translating objectives into communications plans
  • Direct communication product development, including multi-media, visual media and graphic design support
  • Support Army outreach campaigns, collaboration and engagement with think tank organizations, professional development and training for Army Public Affairs professionals, manage Pentagon exhibits, and executive communications support

 

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

  • Minimum 15 years demonstrated relevant professional experience with at least five (5) years continuous experience at the strategic level
  • Exemplary written and verbal communications skills  
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Power Point, and Excel

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Masters degree preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
