Position Description

Exciting Remote Instructional Designer II opportunity at Serco!

 

We are seeking a Instructional Designer II to support our Defense Acquisitions University (DAU) program. As a Instructional Designer II, you will support the design, development, delivery and deployment of relevant, high-quality learning assets and course content. Course content will be developed for delivery through eLearning, Instructor-Led (ILT), or Virtual Instructor-Led (VILT) modes.

 

In this role you will:

  • Assess training needs to develop training strategies and plans Perform needs and gap analyses for learning asset solutions
  • Participate in the design, development, and delivery of learning assets based on learning objectives addressing necessary skill or performance attainment
  • Create, select, edit, arrange and deliver content for inclusion in DAU Learning Assets.
  • Collaborate with DAU subject matter experts as required
  • Create and deliver formative and summative assessments including criterion-referenced exam questions and performance-based rubrics
  • Understand all modalities of interactive multimedia learning assets to include interactivity levels, learner engagement, adult leaning theory and the ADDIE model
  • Work in a team environment with other learning professionals

Qualifications

To be succucessfull in this role, you will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design from an accredited college or university, or equivalent and 5-7 years experience
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Experience designing for large audiences, can develop for multiple delivery modes, and has experience with multiple development tools.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Proven experience as an instructional designer
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong facilitation and analysis skills
  • Strong information technology skills
  • Experience with Adobe Captivate, Articulate, Blackboard, HTML-based applications

 

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Master’s Degree in Instructional Design from an accredited college or university
  • Experience working with Federal or DOD-related Federal agencies preferred.
