Position Description

Serco has a great opportunity for you to take a role as part of the Global Logistics Augmentation and Staff Support (GLASS) team in supporting the Army Sustainment Command at Rock Island, IL. Join an integrated government-industry team in support of multiple program functions. Specific tasks include the following:  Operations and Plans, Desk Officer, ORSA, Training and Exercise, Automation/Database Management and Cost Management Support Services. You will provide a wide range of customer requirements in the Army supply systems and operations. Use your expertise and collaborative skills to positively impact our national defense and make a difference in the world’s greatest Army.


This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain/transfer a Secret clearance.

This position is contingent upon customer requirements and/or their approval.


In this role, you will:

  • Provide Operations and plans support for Global Logistics Operations and support areas.
  • Assist with requirements development and refinement, technical reviews of requirements packets, preparation of technical support for negotiation documents, and level of effort requirement's development.
  • Assist managing Regional and Worldwide Plans
  • Collaborate with Army Service Component Commanders (ASCC), Geographic Combatant Commanders (GCC), and Army Field Support Brigade (AFSB)
  • Assist with coordinating the Annual LOGCAP Worldwide Requirements Conference IAW Department of the Army Directive 2016-14 (Army Conference Policy)
  • Provide ASC Command Operations Information Center (COIC) or Logistics Cell coverage.
  • Consolidate input from multiple sources and prepare current operation updates.
  • Review and perform gap analysis for operation plans (OPLAN) and concept plans. (CONPLAN)
  • Update and maintain operations and plans files in SharePoint
  • Research and respond to inquiries
  • Assist drafting meeting minutes for Award Fee Evaluation Boards (AFEB)


To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree and 5-8 years of directly related experience. 
    • Or 9 years of directly related experience.
  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft SharePoint
  • Experience in 3 of the 5 following areas:
    • Regional and Worldwide Plans
    • Army Service Component Commanders (ASCC)
    • Geographic Combatant Commanders (GCC)
    • Army Field Support Brigade (AFSB)
    • Army Directive 2016-14 (Army Conference Policy)
    • Command Operations Information Center (COIC)
    • Logistics cell coverage
    • Operation plans (OPLAN)
    • Concept plans (CONPLAN)
  • Familiarity with the military decision process (MDMP) and the standard Army five paragraph operation order (OPORD) format.
    • Including all applicable annexes.
  • A U.S. Citizenship
  • An active Secret Clearance
  • The ability to travel 10% of the time 
  • Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills

  • Masters Degree
