Position Description

The Media Integration Division of Serco is a leading provider of audio-visual integration solutions.  We are looking for an Audio-Visual Control System Programmer to complement a telecommunications design, engineering, installation and sustainment team. 

 

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years’ experience programming Crestron control systems., and 5 years’ experience installing and troubleshooting audio-visual equipment such as Planar, Christie, Crestron, Extron, AMX, Jupiter and Biamp. You will be working in diverse spaces for diverse federal government customers.  Some work will be in classified spaces with classified communications systems. You will be part of a 8 person team that works closely with the customer, Serco teammates and other partners to deliver effective communications capability.  This is an existing opportunity, and you will be joining an experience team that is firing on all cylinders.

 

In this role you will:

  • Be responsible for programming, deploying, and managing all customers control systems
  • Load code, configure, and troubleshoot Crestron control systems
  • Assist with the installation of AV racks, VTC’s, projectors, video walls and flat panel screens as well as other audio-video equipment including, but not limited to, cabling, fiber optics, racking and mounting audio-visual devices and control units
  • Assist with audio-visual drawings and rack wiring design

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • An Active Top Secret Security Clearance
  • High School diploma
  • Minimum of 10 years programming control systems (Crestron). Preferably a Crestron Master Certified Programmer (MCP)
  • Minimum of 5 years installing and commissioning audio-visual equipment including video walls, flat panel screens, speakers, racking, microphones, AV cabling and wiring
  • Certifications in industry-relevant areas such as system design, control system programming, and software interface for audio-visual systems (audio, video, etc.)
  • Can read CAD generated prints and use Microsoft Visio to design AV systems
  • Must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Troubleshooting skills with the ability to do advanced troubleshooting on any device
  • The ability to lift 50-60 lbs., climb, crawl, and raise items overhead

Desirable qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • AMX programming desired
  • CTS or CTS-i certification desired
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
  • Some travel required
