Logistics Analyst for Ship Systems


If you love high profile and challenging programing projects supporting the US Navy- Serco has a great opportunity for you!  This Logistics Analyst for Ship Systems will be on a dynamic team, programing ship systems at our Manassas, Virginia location.   Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact towards our military defense and safety of our sailors.


In this role, you will:

  • Provide related ship systems acquisition logistics and maintenance support in the areas of ship, combat system, engineering and fitted equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Write technical documents and route message traffic such as naval messages, monthly quarterly and fleet advisory.
  • Work with Program Executive Office in developing and maintaining ship sustainment strategy for initial outfitting estimates for new modernization.
  • Ensure Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) programs and processes reflect appropriate acquisition guidelines and requirements are met and proper support data elements are factored into the Life Cycle Cost (LCC) estimates.
  • Coordinate material and logistics requirements for fielding, ship alteration, or repair.



To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • An active or current DoD Secret clearance or the capability to acquire a security clearance.
  • 0 to 2 years’ experience.
  • A B.A. or B.S. degree, preferred, or relevant work experience, plus 2 years of experience working with logistics competency. 

Desired skills and experience:

  • Knowledge of the DoD and US Navy logistics acquisition process, including regulations, directives, and statutes, the Navy's application of the DoD acquisition process, such as contracting and sea trials, and key Naval ship acquisition roles and organizations.
  • An expert level skillset using MS Office Suite to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of MS Access a bonus.
  • Working knowledge of configuration management, technical requirements process flow and document routing process.
