Position Description

As the Senior Test and Evaluation (T&E) Management Leader, a key contract position, you will lead the T&E support team that is evaluating and managing the delivery of new amphibious ships and landing craft to the fleet. Our professional support services team is led by a Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager, each having decades of experience working in the DoD and Shipbuilding Industry. Our Amphibious Warfare Operation provides critical services to nearly all U.S. Navy amphibious ships and craft. You will work closely with Government and industry professionals as well as shipbuilders and other support personnel. In this role, you will:

  • Directly support the Test and Evaluation Principal Assistant Program Manager (PAPM) and provide overall T&E management support.
  • Produce accurate reports and interact with other test agencies in support of T&E activities
  • Lead and direct the work of others including providing mentorship.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Master's Degree and a minimum of 10 years of releval work expereince. (Highschool Diploma or GED plus 16 years of relevant experience with technical school or military experience/ certifications, including those with less years of experience, will be considered)
  • A current DoD security clearance or be able to obtain an interim clearance after hire.
  • United States (U.S.) citizenship.
  • Ability to operate personal computers and have good knowledge and operational abilities with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to support activities in a shipyard or naval facility. Some work may occur within an industrial field office, outdoors and/or aboard ship while the ship is undergoing construction, alteration, activation, overhaul, repair, and/or underway trials. Walking and climbing throughout the ship, to accomplish ship checks, may be required. Exposure to high noise levels, uncomfortable temperatures, heights, or other industrial safety conditions will require use of personal protective clothing and equipment.
  • Ability to travel (less than 10%) to support activities in a shipyard or naval facility or onboard ship while underway.

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • A Master’s degree in an engineering discipline with 10-12 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desired.
  • Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act of 1990 (DAWIA) certification is desired.
  • Relevant U.S. Navy or U.S. Coast Guard experience in the areas of ship construction or repair and testing is desired. Amphibious warship ship and/or craft construction or ship repair and testing experience is ideal.
  • DoD/Navy ACAT I Program experience is desired.
