Position Description

Serco supports the Navy as prime for their Amphibious Warfare program. This position supports the configuration and engineering management of the new Ship-to-Shore Connector. In this role, you will primarily support processing and tracking of SSC CDRL submissions and coordinate reviews with the NAVSEA customer.


The team is led by a Program Manager with decades of experience working in the DoD and Shipbuilding Industry. Specific responsibilities are as follows:

  • Schedules CDRL submissions based on DD Form 1423 requirements
  • Tracks CDRL submission, review, and completion status in IDE and SSC CDRL Access database
  • Coordinates with review teams about contractual due dates to shipbuilder. Informs review teams of CDRL response due dates.
  • Monitors CDRL workflows to troubleshoot IDE issues. Works with IDE provider to resolve problems
  • Maintains SSC CDRL Reviewer List and updates reviewer information in IDE and CDRL database
  • Generates weekly SSC CDRL reports and provides to K Division
  • Performs ad hoc CDRL tasks as required including data calls and special report development and generation
  • Maintains records of changes to CDRL information and Form 1423 updates resulting from contract modifications. Adds updated information to IDE and CDRL database
  • Updates the SSC CDRL Management Plan as required
  • Provides CDRL/Data Management input for Serco Monthly Status Report
  • Prepare MS PowerPoint slides for the Monthly Configuration Control Boards meetings
  • Prepare a MS Excel spreadsheet using the SSC Change Database for Post Delivery and Boston Yard Planning meetings to the CM/DM
  • Prepare a MS Excel spreadsheet of the list of compilation of WFCs, ECPs/PECPs, APs for reviewers


To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A Bachelor`s degree and 0-2 years of experience. In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 4 years of applicable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted based on education, or highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Security Clearance upon employment.
  • Prior database experience such as MS Access or CDMD-Open Architecture is strongly desired.
  • Recent use and proficiency of MS Excel and other MS programs such as Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
