Position Description

Are you in search of a PART-TIME opportunity that will provide great reward in Stennis Space Center, MS? Serco’s Maritime Engineering, Technology and Sustainment (METS) business unit may be the place for you!  We employ a team of Autonomous Maritime System (AMS) experts based out of Panama City, FL. Our mission is to provide our nation’s sailors with access to cutting edge technology by providing research and development (R&D), prototype integration, and testing and evaluation (T&E) services in maritime environments to include littoral (coastal and riverine) regions along with offshore testing in areas such as the Gulf of Mexico. This opportunity will be seat in the Stennis Space Center, MS.


This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain your SECRET level DoD clearance.

As the Lead Naval Logistics Analyst, you will perform complex logistics activities in support of the Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVO) within established procedures including data management, shipping & receiving, inventory control and supply maintenance out of the Stennis Space Center, MS location.


In this role, you will:

  • Receive inbound materials and updates Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) databases containing tracking information to include pricing and part numbers.
  • Populate required DoD documentation for shipping & receiving activities.
  • Coordinate with Serco procurements and acquisition analyst team for inbound shipment planning.
  • Facilitate final delivery to end user customers at NAVO facilities.
  • Prepare related reports and documentation per NAVO customer request.  
  • Responsible for managing an offsite warehouse and tracking movement of inventory. 
  • Verify shipping records on incoming and outgoing shipments with bills, invoices, or other records. 
  • Verify materials received are as ordered in relation to quantity and part number.
  • Prepare all necessary shipment documentation, such as: Bill of Ladings, Pallet Labels, and Packing Lists.
  • Collect data metrics for order dates, lead time, and delivery.
  • Work cooperatively with cross functional teams on daily activities.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.


To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 10 Years of relevant experience  in a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience and at least 5-7 years related experience preferably in a warehouse/logistics environment.  (In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 7 years applicable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience for positions involving new technology or labor market shortages as reflected by-market  survey data.)
  • A Secret level security clearance is required at the beginning of employment.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. on occasion is required.
  • Knowledge of the practices, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements involved in Navy logistics.
  • Required to possess experience in Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Military Standard Requisitioning and Issues Procedures (MILSTRIP).

The following experience is highly favorable:

  • HAZMAT materials certification
  • Knowledge of the Navy Information Technology Purchase Request (ITPR) process
  • Familiarity with Naval Supply Procedures
  • Familiarity with Unique Material Master (UMM) system

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
