Position Description

Serco is assigned to Zone 2 one of the most active zones in the country ­to support the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Public Assistance (PA) recovery initiatives. PA TAC IV will include professional and non-professional personnel to provide support to state, tribal, territorial local governments, and some private non-profits. Serco strives to provide support quickly and efficiently to FEMA’s mission by helping those effected by man-made and natural disasters.

 

This position is contingent upon your ability to obtain/maintain/transfer a DHS Clearance.

This position is contingent upon customer requirements and/or their approval.

 

In this role you will:

  • Independently apply knowledge of management functions, processes, and analytical methods or techniques to gather, analyze, and evaluate information required by program or project managers
  • Monitor Invoices on large contracts and agreements, and payments of specified expenses
  • Generate monthly financial status reports and / or assists with updates
  • Provide Quality Control functions throughout the development and submission of documentation generated, housed, or tracked though any business system
  • Innovative, with ability to resolve complex issues, strong organizational skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to effectively convey information across all organizational levels
  • Strong customer service focus

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of related experience in a business, accounting, or a budget role
  • The ability to be flexible and adaptable
  • The ability to be proactive, self-directed with ability to define tasking, manage workload from multiple sources, and independently resolve multifaceted situations.
  • Accounting experience with government lines of accounting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with demonstrated experience
  • Must be able to work under pressure
  • Must be able to multitask
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS Public Trust Clearance

 

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Active DHS Public Trust Clearance
