Position Description

If you love project management and change processing - Serco has a great opportunity for you in supporting the U.S. Navy! This Project Manager/Configuration Management Specialist will be located at our Alexandria, Virginia site supporting the new construction and design of U.S. Navy ships.

 

In this role, you will work with a highly skilled and detailed oriented team to:

 

  • Participate in change processing through both Baseline and Post-Baseline Design processes.
  • Consolidate cost information into formal packages for our Navy customer.
  • Audit change documentation.
  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to resolve questions and/or concerns with change issues.
  • Assist team in instruction updates, drafting letters, Navy correspondence, and documentation.
  • Participate in weekly and bi-weekly meetings with both Shipbuilders and Design Agents.

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or greater than 7 years’ experience on Navy platforms performing configuration management.
  • Ability to gain DoD Secret security clearance.
  • 2-4 years’ experience.
  • Located in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs; primarily Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to plan and coordinate individual assignments.
  • Ability to collaborate in a virtual environment with team members in multiple locations.
  • Research skills and questioning attitude.
  • Solution oriented.
