The Junior Marine Engineer receives technical guidance and training from the more experienced technical staff to which the individual is assigned and applies basic knowledge of marine engineering and mechanical engineering to perform routine analyses and prepare basic engineering systems such as fluid systems, propulsion systems, auxiliary systems, HVAC systems, and electrical systems in support of the design of ships, crafts, and other floating structures.
You will be part of a member team working for a Senior Marine Engineer designing ships, or ship systems and working closely with the customer and other Serco teams.
In this role you will apply basic mechanical and marine engineering knowledge in accordance with applicable regulatory body rules, regulations, and industry standards to develop analyses and products in one or more technical areas:
