Position Description

Navy Military Analyst

 

Serco is seeking you to take on this high profile and challenging project!   Located in Washington, D.C., the Navy Military Analyst role allows you to bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact towards our military defense and safety of our sailors by discovering your new role supporting this critical mission.

 

Serco supports the US Navy as a prime for their Team Submarine contract supporting the acquisition of submarines. The Team Submarine concept unifies once diverse submarine-related activities into a single submarine-centric organization with the goal of eliminating traditional stovepipe structures and processes that created impediments and inefficiencies in the submarine research, development, acquisition, and maintenance communities. Team Submarine provides improved communication among the various offices that contribute to the overall success of the United States Submarine Force.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Be the primary customer contact for all activities, meeting with and updating the customer on project status.
  • Lead program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Provide acquisition management planning and execution support.
  • Be the single point of contact on all contract management support related issues, including required reports and presentations responsible for quality control and timeliness.
  • Provide financial and management support to assist in budget development for the contract.
  • Deliver the technical performance within cost and schedule parameter through completion of the contract.
  • Manage the technical and administrative staff and providing ongoing direction in the performance of the assigned program.
  • Develop and monitor program plan including time and cost estimates, ensuring delivery of project outputs on schedule and within funding.
  • Lead technical discussions for project reviews, including preparing and delivering formal briefings.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Secret clearance and U.S. Citizenship.
  • A Bachelor's level degree in a business or technical field.
  • Five to seven years of experience in engineering/science management, operations research analysis, financial/cost analysis, or a relevant field.
  • Five to seven years of experience with Navy acquisition and Submarine Programs.
  • Experience leading a project and interfacing with an end item customer.
  • Knowledge of Program Management, including the acquisition process, the budgeting process and Navy program execution.
  • Active-Duty Experience in the submarine service preferred.

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Recent experience in Team Submarine would be ideal.
