If you love high profile and challenging programing projects supporting the US Navy- Serco has a great opportunity for you!  The Financial Analyst will be located at our Washington D.C. site supporting the new construction and design of U.S. Navy’s ships. 

The successful candidate will be integrated into the financial management team tracking the costs of the newest US NAVY Guided Missile Destroyer and assist with the tracking and reporting of financial issues during the construction of the ships.

In this role, you will:

• Input, report and track multiple lines of accounting related to the construction of Navy Ships.
• Develop and maintain spreadsheet tools to track financial information.
• Review reports and information submitted by the shipbuilder, ensure accurate format and content to provide comments to Navy reviewer.
• Assist in identification and resolution of financial discrepancies.
• Provide information and help develop reports for the program.
• Other duties as assigned.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A Bachelor’s degree or greater than 5 years’ experience on Navy platforms performing financial work.
• A current or active DoD Secret clearance, or the ability to qualify for a DoD Secret security clearance.
• Two to four years of experience.
• Residency within the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area.
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel.
• The ability to analyze data to identify trends and potential problems to the program.
• The ability to plan and coordinate individual assignments.
• The ability to collaborate in a virtual environment with team members in multiple locations.
• The ability to research and a questioning attitude.
• A solutions-oriented mindset.
• The ability to travel at least 10% of the time.
