Serco is hiring Commercial Insurance Specialist with commercial experience to support the Federal Emergency Management Agency Public Assistance recovery initiatives in Zone 2 across the Midwest. This position will consist of professional and non-professional personnel to provide support to state, tribal, territorial local governments, and some private non-profits. Serco strives to provide support quickly and efficiently to FEMA’s mission by helping those effected by man-made and natural disasters. These positions are deployment based and must be willing and able to deploy anywhere in Zone 2.  An insurance contractor is needed to provide comprehensive reviews and reconciliation. These reviews consist of adjustments of final cost vs anticipated insurance proceeds during the initial writing of PWs throughout the life cycle of this disaster. In many cases applicants litigated their claims with their insurance carriers and have reached final settlements that must be adjusted. The contractor will be conducting Public Assistance insurance reviews by applying statutory and regulatory insurance requirements during Program Compliance Reviews. The Insurance Specialist role safeguards against duplicating the benefits Applicants receive from any other sources, including insurance proceeds. The Insurance Specialist also validates that the Applicant has obtained and maintained the appropriate levels and types of insurance coverage as required by law before determining the amount of net eligible PA funding for eligible but insured elements after the Insurance Specialist validates the net amount of eligible funding that does not duplicate benefits. Interface with Planning Yard On-Site Representatives to review/approve design changes or growth work.  Negotiate costs with responsible NSA and assigned MSR.  Identify changes, track, and report all growth and new work sequences to NAVSEA 21 and responsible shipyard.- Coordinate all testing efforts with responsible shipyard and applicable Navy sponsoring Commands. Schedule is determined by the Entitled Process Milestones and milestone dates set forth by the shipyard and ship.  Ensure required delays or testing milestone changes are quickly and effectively communicated to all stakeholders.- Participate in Lessons Learned conferences and other post-installation meetings, i.e. NAVSEA 21 Hot Washes and Modernization Execution Reviews. Program Management Office (PMO).The Contractor shall provide program management support to the Training Systems and Simulation PMO and their FMS Customers in the development, delivery, operation, and maintenance of all F-35 training systems, to include all Pilot Training Devices, Maintenance Training Devices, and the Joint Simulation Environment. The F-35 Training Systems are critical enablers to producing Mission Qualified Pilots and Maintainers while tracking their training status throughout the individuals’ career. They are comprised of the Hardware, Software, subsystems, equipment, and reference data required to design, develop, deliver, evaluate,and refine the training provided to F-35 personnel with the necessary capacity and fidelity to enable aircrews to train to the high-end fight.  In this role, you will:- May have development and budgetary responsibilities.  Provides expertise to F-35 JPO Training systems PMO and International Directiorate (ID) to ensure resolution of issues.  Requires advanced knowledge and understanding of work project(s) and functions. - May manage small (3-5) and large teams (10-20) of employees. May assist with updating course documentation on a continuous basis to ensure timeliness and relevance. May work with engineering, technical support and manufacturing to ensure that course material reflects current product features.-  Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field; Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
