Senior Shipyard Engineer  Serco has a Senior Shipyard Engineer role in Marinette, Wisconsin that will allow you to have influence every day.  As an on-site SME for structural fabrication, accuracy control and jigs/fixtures, you will be on a dynamic team, conducting daily oversight and surveys of conditions found at FMM Shipyard in Marinette, Wisconsin.  Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact towards our military defense, the quality of ships and the safety of our sailors. Serco supports the US Navy as a prime for providing engineering and production support on the FFG-62 (Guided Missile Frigate) program.   In this role, you will become part of a skilled group of engineers and field technicians with a mission to improve the efficiency and quality of the shipyard’s processes and to deliver a safe and reliable ship to the US Navy. You will lead a four-to-six-member team that works closely with PMS 515, the local Supship office and other Serco teams to provide field engineering and production support in construction, testing, and delivery of the Navy’s latest Frigate design.  Our production engineering team conducts 3D model and 2D drawing reviews and our on-site team will provide oversight in the areas of fabrication of panels and modules, accuracy control of individual panels and modules and alignment.  Our Navy customer relies heavily on each individual’s skillset to provide support to the program office team as well as Supship and the shipbuilder’s team, all sharing a common goal to successfully build, test and deliver multiple FFGs to the next generation of sailors. In this role, you will:- Conduct daily walk-throughs of the various shops fabricating deck panels, bulkheads and other structural components or sub-assemblies to validate general compliance with drawings and specification requirements, including alignment of scantlings IWO module connection points.- Confirm standard accuracy control processes are being followed for jig and fixture installations, temporary blocking for modules or submodules.- Confirm standard etching or markings are applied to provide necessary information for shipfitters and welders to position and orient structural members, including frame, buttock, waterlines, and molded lines and also verify weld types and sizes are provided.- Participate in scheduled meetings with Supship, shipyard personnel and subcontractors, providing inputs when needed.- Observe overall quality of fabrication and welding work and report any conditions found.- Observe material handling, rigging and transport practices for safe methods and processes and report any issues/concerns.- Develop and submit weekly reports of activities, including conditions found and any anomalies or concerns observed during shipyard walk-throughs to the lead production engineer. - Develop and submit monthly reports of all completed activities to the lead production engineer.- Provide support to the local Supship team as needed and also respond to emergent requests for information or data from PMS 515P (FFG Production Team, Washington Navy Yard).

If you love high profile and challenging work supporting the US Government, Serco has a great opportunity for you!  You will be on a critical team working with the customer at our Maryland location.  Bring your business expertise and desire to learn new skills and make a difference with our government customer.- This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain/transfer a TS/SCI with Poly clearance.- This position is contingent upon customer requirements and/or their approval.Serco supports the US Government customer on a long-term contract providing broad expertise in DoD acquisition management, DoD contracting, or DoD contract management.  Our team provides business support and expertise to include tracking program status, monitoring cost, schedule, and contract performance.  You will be part of a team that works closely with the customer to deliver business expertise with an emphasis on contracts, finance, and customer service. Our managers on this team are seasoned Serco personnel who are available and responsive to ensure your success! In this role, you will:- Collect and input burn rate data using corporate template.- Review invoices in accordance with the most recent BM&A Invoice Review Desk Guide and contract clauses; report any discrepancies to Government Contract Manager (GCM).- Assist the GCM with gathering and organizing data needed to develop/modify Technical Task Orders (TTOs)/Delivery Orders/Requisitions/Spend Plans/Contract Performance Input. - Assist with the validation of ULO and TAR lines for contracts.- Utilize NSA-specific systems to perform basic functions.- Assist the Government with Contract Closeout activities.- Draft modifications to existing TTOs.

You will be on a critical team working with the customer at our Maryland location.  This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain/transfer a TS/SCI with Poly clearance.This position is contingent upon customer requirements and/or their approval. In this role, you will possess the following capabilities: - Has experience with agile development processes.- Has experience with source code control systems, such as Git.- Serve as team lead at the level appropriate to the software development process being used on any particular project.- Design and development of relational and non-relational database applications.- Use of orchestration frameworks such as Spring and Kafka.- Familiarization with queue management systems- Develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards.- Develop and execute test procedures for software components.- Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards and conferring with users or system engineers; analyzing systems flow, data usage and work processes; and investigating problem areas.- Modify existing software to adapt to new hardware or to improve its performance- Design, develop, and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design decisions- Java development using the Eclipse IDE (Integrated Development Environment).- Development of Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) applications- Experience using collaboration and software development tools (ie. Atlassian).- Software development using continuous integration practices- Experience with container technologies (ie. Docker).- Unix shell scripting- Development of event driven or data driven analytics
