The team in Japan at NBU 7 supports the Landing Craft Division in the maintenance and repairs on of Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC), and the planning of preparations for the arrival of the new Ship to Shore Connector (SSC). As the Hull, Mechanical, & Electrical (HM&E) OSR, you will perform craft maintenance and provide technical support to the fleet to support maintenance, approved configuration changes, and repairs during all forward deployed FMPs (Fleet Modernization Program) Availabilities, Continuous Maintenance Availabilities (CMAVs), and Restricted Maintenance Availabilities (RAVs) in Sasebo, Japan.  You will be part of a 9-person team of On-Site Representatives (OSRs) consisting of welders, mechanics, and logisticians that work closely with the customer in delivering quality products, training, and services to the fleet.  In this position you will:- Under supervision of the Lead OSR, you will support to the Amphibious Warfare Program Office as HM&E OSR required for the sustainment of Landing Craft at Naval Beach Unit 7 in Sasebo, Japan.- Coordinate with In-Service Engineering Agents (ISEA) OSRs for technical documentation discrepancy resolution as required. - Assist with repair parts identification and procurement.- Conduct troubleshooting and repair of LCAC electronic/electrical power generation and distribution systems/equipment.- Assist with LCAC craft control system calibrations. - Conduct repair, replacement, and maintenance on transmission and gearbox system components IAW technical manuals and formal work packages.- Assist with the operation of LCAC propeller, lift fan balancing, and calibration of equipment.- Perform installation, removal of LCAC propeller, propeller support shafts and associated components IAW technical manuals and formal work packages.- Perform on-craft removal and installation of LCAC propellers to support repairs conducted by Ships Force personnel.- Conduct LCAC lift fan system and associated component repair/corrective maintenance IAW technical manuals and formal work packages.- Conduct LCAC mechanical system repair/corrective maintenance IAW technical manuals and formal work packages as assigned.- Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of LCAC, LCU and Beach Party Team navigation and communications equipment.- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Lead OSR.
