Logistics Analyst If you love high profile and challenging projects supporting the US Navy- Serco has a great opportunity for you!  This Logistics Analyst position will be on a dynamic team in Bath, Maine.   Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact towards our military defense and safety of our sailors. The Centralized Acquisition Management Activity (CAMA) is considered to be an effort of data integration, which is the combination of technical and business processes used to combine data from dissimilar sources into meaningful and valuable information. The primary objective of this Logistics Analyst position is to develop and maintain complete and accurate configuration data on Government Furnished Equipment to support the DDG 51 class of ships.  This developed and released configuration is the first step that establishes the majority of the Consolidated Onboard Ship Allowance Listing (COSAL) that is essential for outfitting and procuring products required prior to sail away. As a configuration data manager for Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), you will be responsible for the accuracy of every record you add and will often spend significant time verifying the accuracy of incoming data and resolving inconsistencies with that data. In this role, you will:- Load and maintain GFE configuration into the Navy’s Configuration Database of record.- Process work files within 30 days of receipt and work with the Navy’s submitter for necessary clarifications.- Review and identify configuration impact to Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) utilizing standard and nonstandard configuration reports, change requests, and nonstandard configuration data sources. - Request and/or submit any necessary feedback as needed to the appropriate authority.- Gather and analyze information on moderately complex product, plans and project objectives.- Work closely with the government ISEAs and contractors to ensure proper configuration exists before an incremental is pulled for provisioning.- Utilize change requests to maintain the Class Functional Configuration Baseline Index (CFCBI) submitted to the Planning Yard.- Possess the ability to respond to various requests for information concerning data accuracy, systems, baseline cut in, and what systems and equipment are going to be replaced.- Maintain, review, and enter data into an Access database or Excel work sheets, various logbooks, and paper files.- Review monthly canceled and superseded reports from the Naval Supply System (NAVSUP) for impact to Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and make any necessary adjustments to the supporting data.- Attend meetings as required like the Product Support Management Team Meeting (PSMT) and participate in all appropriate working groups.- Provide high quality, fully detailed tracking and status reports and support to ensure distribution and delivery commitments in a timely manner.- Possess the ability to analyze technical data, customer usage data, customer maintenance practices, customer operation characteristics, and related reports to determine requirements.- Assist in the development of policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control.- Assess and recommend feasibility of proposed approaches to solve moderately complex problems.- Be asked to prepare and present reports, studies, cost analyses, and briefings to staff and customer as required.- Participate in technical discussions at project review sessions and in negotiations with the customer.- Build relationships with strategic customers through logistics initiatives.- Become familiar with the appropriate scopes and tasking for the Serco Bath office, in particular the task statements for DDG 51, in order to implement the tasking statement to ensure successful completion in support of contract requirements.- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.- Integrate lessons learned from customers, competitors, operating entities, distribution, transportation, customer service, other industries, industry groups, and professional training.
