Serco’s Regional Managers and individual Site Managers lead the team of Driver Examiners, offering many years of experience working with our customer and providing the Ministry with excellence in customer care.  This position is contingent upon your ability to Pass Criminal Record Check (CPIC); Fingerprint Criminal Record Check. In this role, you will:- Evaluate the driving abilities of driver’s licence light and heavy vehicle applicants at the G2, G, AZ and B levels.- Conduct road tests for those requiring special needs or for those with disabilities.- Provide grade of road test, licence information and resolve licensing issues.- Provide information and assistance related to Driver Examination services.- Responds to enquiries related to driver licensing, determines applicant status, and provides information regarding test/re-test procedures and classes of licences.- Completes three-point verification by verbally confirming the candidates full Name, full Date of Birth and full Address.- Ensure the fair and proper conduct of examinations in an environment that enables candidates to perform at their best.- Review information and determine test requirements.- Ensure the fair and proper conduct of examinations.- Examine applicants through a road test and determine the fitness, competency, and knowledge of driver’s licence applicants.- Provide examination results and complete evaluation forms for assessments.- Create a calm, professional, and supportive environment that enables applicants to perform to the best of their abilities.- Attends travel points to provide testing and licensing services, where applicable.- Must be able to perform physical duties of the position, this may include sitting or standing for extended periods of time and entering and exiting vehicles up to 30 times per shift.

Analyze shipyard production practices, track overall progress, and maintain regular surveillance over main and auxiliary machinery installations, interfaces, and testing.  Prepare detailed reports of ongoing progress, list potential roadblocks/upcoming issues and prepare discussion/backup materials in anticipation of regular Program Office meetings. You will be part of a large contingent of Serco and Navy personnel on-site to support the ship construction effort.  You will be exposed to every aspect of shipbuilding and share in the wealth of knowledge.  You will work in the busy industrial atmosphere of shipyard involved in the serial production of the Navy’s newest warship.  Daily interfaces will be with shipyard personnel at all levels, other Serco SMEs, Analyst and Engineers, SUPSHIP Bath personnel at all levels, Program Office (PMS-515) at all levels and visiting DOD personnel. In this role, you will:- Contribute by helping to ensure that delays and holdups are minimized between multiple ship builds- Assist with Serco’s maintenance of new construction records and data keeping- Maintain accurate and up to date tracking records of machinery progress.- Serve as a liaison between the Serco on-site team and SMEs from the Navy- Use experience, personal observation, and knowledge to identify potential delays, late material deliveries, impending technical challenges, quality, and sequencing issues.- Prepare regular reports to the Task Lead informing of accomplishments, challenges, and suggested improvements in both the shipyards production efforts as well as how Serco could improve their contracted oversight functions.- Maintain a general awareness of ships under construction to gain a working knowledge of events in progress.
