In this role, you will:- Manage resources used in the development and test of hardware and software for electronic access control systems (such as vehicle gates, pedestrian turnstiles, surveillance cameras, infrared sensors, and electronic badging) - Manage and coordinate the daily tasks of lab and client teams of engineers, system administrators, security specialists, hardware technicians, network engineers, and field engineers- Develop policies and SOPs in the lab in accordance with system and program requirements- Manage and maintain virtual environments for users to conduct development, testing, and pre-production testing on assets in the lab- Schedule and prioritize use of lab equipment, resources, and support staff- Conduct and attend meetings multiple levels of leadership internally, with vendors, subcontractors, and Govt clients at facility, regional, and command levels. - Determine program and system requirements for maintaining systems to support users- Perform configuration management and accountability of lab systems and equipment- Support installation, development and testing in the lab for new systems and software- Maintain virtual environments and configurations- Coordinate maintenance support for the systems in the lab with vendors and cybersecurity teams- Produce weekly and monthly reports including metrics, POAMs, individual project schedules and timelines- Manage visit requests, tours, and training - Support ATO packages for system security accreditations- Manage Change Requests and configuration baselines of lab systems- Develop backup and recovery strategies

Serco-NA is seeking a motivated engineer to provide engineering and programmatic support to one of our customers with the U.S. Navy in the Washington, DC area. As the Internal Communications (IC) systems (including EDG, SSTG, MPM) Systems Integration Team (SIT) Lead you will:- Assess risks for technical decisions for Electrical Systems for VIRGINIA Class Ships. Deliver detailed support/risk briefs to Ship Design Managers (SDMs) and Deputy Ship Design Managers and provides technical expertise in the production of critical design and production documents provided by the SITs and MAITs.- Provide engineering assessments, research, and problem resolution for VIRGINIA class Electrical Systems.- Provide expert responses to requests for technical assistance or adjudication received via letter, Engineering Reports (ERs), Work Deferral Requests (WDRs), Departures from Specification (DFS), and Liaison Action Requests (LAR).- Support the VIRGINIA Class submarine Program Office Technical Division for the integration and execution of VIRGINIA Electrical system concept and design changes by participating / leading VTCs, working groups, and planning and technical meetings.- Assist with the development and implementation of programmatic documentation including ship and systems specifications, performance specifications, interface control documentation, and design decision documentation.- Provide subject matter expertise with managing of programmatic, technical, administrative and support activities required to develop and execute the VIRGINIA Block V PS, VPM ship systems, UD ship efforts, and VIRGINIA Block VI and potentially SSW functions.- Serve as a technical lead and subject matter expert representing PMS 450 and 05U2 with various activities and Program Offices as well as coordinating with Engineering Agents, Technical Authorities, EB, HII-NNS, TYCOM, PMS 394 PMS 390, PMS 399, PMS 406, PMS 404, PMS 415, PMS 425, NAVSEA 05, PMA-280, and SUPSHIP for design reviews, system engineering efforts, hardware and software development, system / subsystems / sub-tier specification development, and interface definition and documentation.- Provide subject matter expertise in the development of technology roadmaps and processes to support Block Upgrades.- Review technical correspondence from EB, adjudicating comments, and providing official PMS 450 responses.- Review technical data packages, drawings, reports, logistics products, training materials, and provide technical recommendations.- Work with other PMS 450 positions to include other SITs, SDMs, DSDMs, MAITs, and NAVSEA Technical Warrant Holders (TWH), including electrical, mechanical, propulsion, ship safety and others.- Deliver formal presentations of engineering issues and concerns to the PMS 450 Program Manager and other senior officials on complex issues.
