The Service Writer accepts vehicle service requests, identifies customer concerns and expectations, documents service requirements and accepts and relinquishes ownership and responsibility of units delivered to and released from the repair center within established procedures, policies and guidelines. The Service Writer receives and dispatches questions, service concerns and inquiries in a timely, courteous and professional manner. - Receive, verify and accept materials and repair parts delivered from vendors; issues materials from stock; organize, secure and control site inventories and material returns in accordance with established guidelines and procedures.- Document service and material functions in accordance with established guidelines and procedures. The Service Writer is responsible for data integrity and timely transfer to the responsible individual or office.- Monitor workload and communicate changing priorities or other workload related concerns to the appropriate party in accordance with established guidelines and procedures.
